Hotel Alpine Lodge Gstaad offers even better value - Naturally active!
Guests of the Alpine Lodge in Saanen-Gstaad can profit from an even wider programme of activities this summer. From mid-June to mid-September there will now be an outdoor activity on the programme every day. Just one overnight qualifies all hotel guests for participation in any activity free-of-charge. All activities take place in collaboration with a professional, accredited service provider and are supervised by trained outdoor sports specialists. For all tours, participants are informed about the infrastructure, the route, the safety measures and regulations, and the specific circumstances.
Appearing again in the programme, for example, is the rafting along the river Saane from Gstaad to Rougement, popular with all water sports fans. Children from 10 years old are accompanied downstream by boat guides familiar with the local waters. Parents are naturally welcome to come on board as well.
From as young as 8 years old, kids can join in on the Indiana Jones trail around the Hornberg. Whether you fancy conquering the via ferrata fixed rope route, the Flying Fox, or trying some abseiling: you are sure to have fun in the open air.
During the climbing day activity, a guide shows children from 8 years old upwards the most important rules regarding rope and safety techniques. In the climbing park, the children already learn how a proper mountaineer stands on a firm footing.
The hiking day will be adapted in terms of difficulty to the type of hotel guests and their wishes. The hiking will be led by a local guide who knows the loveliest spots in the region. Hikers from 10 years old and above can enjoy the untouched landscape and mountain lakes in a carefree way, marvelling at the majestic waterfalls – simply wonderful hiking country!
The high rope park in Zweisimmen has five courses of varying degrees of difficulty waiting for you to discover. Two courses are even suitable for children whose height is 1.2m or more. Specially qualified instructors guide participants across widely varying rope bridges, crazy Tyrolliennes and daring jumps of 3 – 22 metres over the ground.
A mountain bike network of at least 140km is waiting to be first discovered and then tried out. Children from 8 years of age can take part when the MTB trip cycles through the attractive Saanenland countryside, over gentle hills of wonderful flowering meadows and young forests. The tour is led by our local mountain bike guides.
A mountain bike tour which will be accompanied by former MTB Swiss champion Bruno Tschanz is new in the programme. Biking in the tracks of a champion – for guests of the Alpine Lodge, the dream comes true...and it is of course also included in the price of the overnight stay.
Ten new Scott mountain bikes and two new Scott electric bikes are also available for hire free-of-charge, meaning that your biking adventure begins already just outside our front door...!
Returning from their experiences in the wonderful Saanenland open air, we invite our guests to enjoy a traditional tea time. Either on our terrace, in the garden or in our cosy lounge: a delicious cup of tea and a delicate piece of cake make the perfect way to recover from the day’s “exertions”. Naturally, all hotel guests are invited to enjoy our tea time!
We would also like to mention that the price of the good value “Gstaad easyacces card” includes, as well as unlimited journeys with cable cars, public transport and various attractive leisure offers, now also a fondue rucksack. Fresh mountain air is known to make you hungry. Just say cheese!
